When the Battle Isn’t Yours to Fight
Scripture
📖 “Yahweh will fight for you, and you shall be still.” — Exodus 14:14 WEB
Reflection
Some battles have a way of consuming our attention. We replay conversations, imagine every possible outcome, and convince ourselves that if we just think about the situation long enough, we’ll figure out how to fix it.
But sometimes God calls us to something completely different: be still and trust Him.
Israel stood in front of the Red Sea with Pharaoh’s army behind them. From their perspective, there wasn’t a way out. But what looked impossible to them wasn’t impossible for God.
Maybe you’re facing something today that you don’t know how to solve. You can do what God has asked you to do without carrying the pressure of controlling the outcome.
There are battles God never intended for you to fight in your own strength. Be faithful with what’s in front of you, and trust God with what only He can do.
Reflection Question
What situation do you need to stop trying to control and trust God to handle today?
Prayer
Father, help me be still and trust You today. When I’m tempted to worry, control the outcome, or fight in my own strength, remind me that You are with me. Give me wisdom to know what You’re asking me to do and faith to trust You with everything I cannot do. In Jesus’ name, amen. 🙏
