Luke

Chapter 19

Verse 10

For the Son of Man came to seek and to save that which was lost.”

Jesus reveals His mission in coming to earth: to seek and save lost people. This highlights the heart of Jesus and challenges His followers to value reaching out to those who feel overlooked or excluded, just as Jesus did. Being a follower of Jesus means actively noticing and caring for those around us who may be forgotten or marginalized. It involves practical actions like inviting someone to join in community activities, offering to pray for those who are struggling, and sharing our personal experiences of Jesus with friends. This mission calls for compassion, courage, and genuine concern rather than treating people as mere projects. Recognizing this mission transforms how we engage with others in our daily environments—including schools, homes, teams, and friendships—enabling us to help point people toward Jesus.
